Counselling
What is counselling?
Counselling is usually a 1:1 conversation between you and a qualified Counsellor to discuss what is going on for you, and how you might like to better manage your life.
How can counselling help?
MISA provides professional support and counselling uniquely tailored for men and their unique mental health challenges.
Counselling can help when we are facing life’s complexities and challenges, and help address conflict and relationship issues, or assist men to take a deeper dive into the problem.
Counselling will be focused on your needs so be sure to explain what your goals are and what you’re hoping to achieve.
What is the difference between a counsellor and a psychologist or a psychiatrist?
While both psychologists and psychiatrists can help people with their mental well-being, a psychiatrist is a trained medical doctor who can prescribe medications.
How long does counselling take?
Our counselling sessions usually last 60 minutes.
